The Washington Commanders are hiring a Finance Manager, Ops responsible for performing and managing varied finance & accounting functions.
Major duties and responsibilities:
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Assist in reviewing and analyzing departmental P&Ls to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assist in financial modeling for forecasting company performance
- Assist in the development of new procedures and implementation of new systems to enhance the workflow of the department
- Strategic Analysis and Recommendations: Assist in research, analysis, and the development of recommendations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of potential opportunities and risks.
- Special Projects: Undertake other related special projects and assignments aimed at supporting departmental and organizational goals related to financial planning and analysis
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance is required
- 5+ years accounting or Financial Planning & Analysis experience
- Prior experience should include general ledger accounting, balance sheet account reconciliation, and interaction with external auditors or participation on external audit engagements
- Financial Analysis: Proven ability to effectively prepare and present detailed financial analysis summaries and projections as required
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in events or F&B industry is a plus
- Familiarity with accounting/financial software
- Knowledge Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
- Adaptability and ability to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Effective communicator both verbally and in writing
- Strong administrative and organization skills with attention to detail and follow-up required
- Salary: $75,000-$80,000 + Bonus
